Every Minnetonka student receives a district provided iPad, case, and charger at no cost to the family. 

Insurance covers each school year and is available for purchase for all iPads that are part of the District’s 1:1 iPad program. Insurance is offered at $44 per iPad, per year and is an elective cost; it is not required.

通常情况下，学生在领取iPad后购买保险时，必须由媒体中心工作人员对iPad进行外观检查，以确认设备在购买保险时未受损。学年开始后入学的新生家长，如希望在入学时购买保险，应告知媒体中心工作人员。如果iPad已经发放，则需要媒体中心工作人员对iPad进行外观检查才能购买保险。 检查通过后，媒体中心工作人员将通过Skyward费用管理系统向学生的账户收取44美元的保险费，该费用可通过在线方式支付。

保险将从检查通过后的购买之日起，覆盖本学年剩余时间以及随后的暑假期间（若设备在暑假期间带回家中）。iPad保险的年费为每台设备44美元。

Potential costs to families for damage without insurance:

• Damaged or broken screen: $110 to $275 depending on the model
• 整台 iPad 的更换费用为 325 美元

故意造成的损坏不在承保范围内。所谓故意造成的损坏，是指经观察确认为蓄意所致，或根据损坏性质判定为蓄意所致的损坏。

Financial Hardship

No student goes without a working iPad, case, or charger because of cost. If your family cannot afford the insurance fee, a repair, or a replacement, please contact your student's counselor. We always work with families individually to find a solution.
