Minnetonka Theatre Presents Finding Neverland, Including Second Year of Partnership with ICA Food Shelf

Minnetonka Theatre will present the Minnesota premiere of Finding Neverland this November.

Finding Neverland is a new Broadway musical based on the Academy Award-winning film starring Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. It tells the true-life story of playwright J.M. Barrie and the inspiration behind his iconic creation, Peter Pan.

“The theatrical rights to this beautiful musical recently became available, and we’re incredibly proud to present the Minnesota premiere production. But what excites me most is the opportunity to give our students an experience that will be truly magical. So exciting!” said Director Trent Boyum.  “At its heart, Finding Neverland is about imagination, courage and the power of believing in yourself. It reminds us that when we stay true to our dreams, we can inspire others to feel safe to imagine, belong, and find a little bit of their own Neverland.”

In conjunction with its production of Finding Neverland, Minnetonka Theatre is excited to partner for the second year with ICA Food Shelf to provide turkey dinners for local families this holiday season. When patrons purchase their tickets, they will have an option to donate to support this program. A $25 donation will provide one family with a turkey dinner, complete with a turkey, side dishes, fresh produce and dessert. Last year’s program provided turkey dinners for more than 360 local families.

Finding Neverland will conclude on Thanksgiving weekend with a special Giving Thanks encore performance, where Minnetonka Theatre will present ICA with the funds raised throughout the run.
