Minnetonka Theatre Presents "The Addams Family"

Minnetonka Theatre is excited to bring the frighteningly funny musical comedy "The Addams Family" to life on their Main Stage in November. The musical is based on the American Gothic sitcom of the 1960s, a fixture of popular culture springing from characters created by Charles Addams, depicting a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre.

Artistic Director Trent Boyum said, “The Addams Family has been the number one most requested show from our students and patrons, and we are thrilled to bring this hilarious musical to life! It is a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family and reminds us that it doesn't matter how strange you look in the eyes of others.”

About The Addams Family
Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

This spring, the inaugural class of Minnetonka High School VANTAGE Fashion students collaborated with the school’s Best Buddies program to host the first “Redefining the Runway” fashion show.
