The Referral and Evaluation Process

Parents have the right to request an educational screening or evaluation if they have concerns about or suspect delays in their child’s development. This screening or evaluation is done at district expense.

  • Contact us through Online Referral. Parents and other concerned individuals, including health care and social services personnel, may use the Help Me Grow website to make a referral. That referral information will then be directed to our office within 24 hours and you will be contacted by our program staff.
  • Contact Minnetonka Schools directly by calling 952-401-6806 to make a referral. We strive to get back to you within one school day. Note: Screening for children under age three is provided in the home setting.
  • Early Childhood Screening (ECS) is held weekly for children over age 3 years and 0 months. You may register online for ECS or by calling 952-401-6840.
